Over the years I have come to realise, people disappoint and people destroy. People patch, and they also gash- sometimes the very same.
And however much you want to avoid all that, I also realise that shunning all that is to die while you live.
Life is hurt and pain and joy and love, all mashed up into one tiny duffel bag, ready for you to shoulder and carry about till you drop.
And to arrive to your death untouched and unscathed would be a shame, ’cause first edition emotions can create wildfire.
